Challenging, productive and fun place to work
Project Event Manager (Former Employee) –  Cork26 July 2019
I was Project Manager for Tyndall's flagship annual industry conference – Tyndall Technology Days – with approximately 250 attendees and a panel of leading international speakers.

Coming in mid-way through a project was a tough challenge, but Iwas able to quickly assimilate the high-level event mission and then execute the plan.
Taken full control of all aspects of the event preparation and on-site execution and at times under very challenging schedule and budget constraints, the event was a great success, delivering a very professional outcome, with very positive attendee and speaker feedback.

The team grew to approximately 50 people from various teams throughout Tyndall and all stages we had excellent communication, leadership and organisation skills, leading the cross-functional teams towards the common goal.

I also managed the third party suppliers (marketing, venue, AV, hotels, catering etc.) and kept a tight control on spend, bringing the event in on-budget.

ros

There is a fantastic internal team and the environment is very supportive. You are given a great amount of responsibility and your opinions are valued, listened to and acted upon.

Cons

Internal compensation could be better in reflecting value for work done. Can be a lot of ambiguity which is unavoidable.

Advice to Management

Continue to listen to employees and allow them the environment to grow. Ensure people are earning what they deserve.
