In 2002, Cornell University engineering students Steve Conine and Niraj Shah founded what would later become Wayfair on a shoestring budget in a spare bedroom of Steve's house. By carefully analyzing Internet search patterns, Steve and Niraj recognized a market opportunity to sell stereo racks and stands online. This single-site grew into a network of more than 250 standalone furnishing sites which consolidated into Wayfair: one of the world’s largest e-commerce destinations for home.
Wayfair is reinventing the way people shop for their homes—from product discovery to final delivery—and our corporate offices in Boston, Germany, Ireland, and England are vital to accomplishing that mission worldwide. If you’re looking for rapid growth, constant learning, and a career in Technology, Category Management, Product, Supply Chain, Customer Service, or Sales, then you’ll find that Wayfair is a good place to call home.

Service & Supply Chain
Innovative and Expansive Supply Chain
Wayfair is redefining the online shopping experience, creating new standards for speed and quality of delivery—especially for large parcel items (e.g. couches, vanities). From loading trucks to managing inventory in our warehouses, Wayfair’s supply chain team has the responsibility of working across our 16 million square feet in global warehousing to maintain our high-level delivery standards and meet our customers’ needs.
Our award-winning, 100% in-house customer service team consistently goes the extra mile for each and every Wayfair customer. Available via phone, chat, email, and social media, our team members work proactively to monitor customer orders and ensure seamless delivery to the customer. Relying on critical thinking and conflict management skills rather than a script, Wayfair customer service swiftly and eloquently reaches the best solutions for every issue that arises post-order.
As Wayfair continues to grow with the industry, we want our employees to grow along with us. In service and supply chain, we are always looking for competitive, quick-thinking leaders to help build the business, and we know that good ideas and managerial talent can come from anywhere. As such, we encourage team members to take advantage of our internal career development courses, learn from coworkers, and challenge themselves in order to reach their career goals.
At Wayfair, we strive to create an environment where all employees feel comfortable and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. We know that our success is driven by the diverse perspectives of our team members, and we celebrate and support our differences. Our 30+ Employee Resource Groups—Wayblack, WayOut, and Waysians among them—in particular, create spaces for community building and networking, and support all Wayfairians’ continued learning about diversity, equity, and inclusion.
At Wayfair, we value and honor the contributions of current and former members of the military and their spouses. We offer events, training, and other resources to strengthen Wayfair’s military family, while also bolstering the external military community through partnerships with organizations such as Homes for Our Troops. We invite service members, veterans, reservists, and spouses looking for rewarding career opportunities to come join the team!
At Wayfair, we believe that strong communities and good business are inextricably linked. We also believe that secure homes and basic household items are not only fundamental needs, but the foundation for well-being. As such, in addition to our employee-driven, company-enabled charitable giving program, we also partner with organizations—such as Habitat for Humanity, Homes For Our Troops, and more—to help create safe and comfortable living spaces for those in need.
At Wayfair, everyone makes an impact. All employees—including our interns and co-ops—are integral parts of their respective teams and are given autonomy to push themselves and find new ways to add value. Our interns are treated like full-time employees, often proposing, working on, or even spearheading projects of significant impact to the business.
