If you want to work in a cliquey, bullying environment where so-called managers take credit for your work on a daily basis while sucking up to a spoilt immature CEO, then this is the place for you! If you fancy going into an office where you don't know if you are next in the firing line, then apply for this job! If you want to work with arrogant insecure unqualified people who set unachievable targets, go for it! Web Summit is a joke. It is not a tech company but a sales outfit set up in a shed. And HR will lie to you 100% - no one with a brain sticks around for long.
Only surface ones that matter very little. Some people are nice, but most are young and arrogant.
Spoofery, lies, fear, bullying, low wages, an immature CEO and a shady COO
Volunteer Assisted the Web Summit team in the running of the annual Web Summit and all its peripheral events. The execution of the event is all about the attendee experience, so this meant giving everyone that little extra time and attention, while ensuring the logistics of the events were all executed seamlessly.
Working with the web summit was a very refreshing experience as you not only understand the technicalities that go into organising an event but also learn more about the technology world and the companies striving to improve in this field continuously. It motivated me to do better and I completely enjoyed meeting and coordinating with different clients for various issues,
Fun place to work, very young workforce, relaxed atmosphere. However, as it is a young company, their internal structure could be improved. All managers are inexperienced which can be problematic. And they have a very compromised Human Resource department. However overall an exciting place to work, with a smart, vibrant team, and optimistic, daring leaders!
Free snacks, casual dresscode, young vibrant staff
Internal structure, human resources, inexperienced managers
