Using two-factor authentication (2FA) on Indeed
Two-factor authentication (2FA) keeps your employer account secure. Also called two-step verification, it works by asking you to confirm your identity with a one-time code when you sign in. You'll usually receive this code as a text message (SMS) to your mobile phone. If you have a verified phone number, you are automatically signed up for text message-based 2FA.
Why do we use 2FA?
2FA helps protect your account by:
- Preventing unauthorised access, even if someone gets your password.
- Making sure only verified individuals can access sensitive account or recruitment information.
Typically, 2FA is required to sign in once every 90 to 365 days, unless you're:
- Using different devices or networks
- Using a VPN
- Clearing your cookies or cache frequently.
