Joe Simon Building Supplies is a Builder’s Providers and DIY Store located in Boyle Co. Roscommon. Established in 1989 and part of Topline buying group we have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the DIY and Construction Industry.
We require an Administrative Assistant to answer calls/emails in a very fast paced environment. You will be dealing with Trade customers, Retailers and Companies. You will need to have experience in the Hardware sector. Our customers are at the heart of our business, and we consistently aim to provide a high-quality personal service.
The position of Administrative Assistant has arisen at our store in Termon road, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. This position will have an immediate start. Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Answering the phones and screening calls
· Taking orders over the phones and answering emails.
· Order Administration & Processing
· Stationery and Supply order
· Database Management
· Generate Weekly and Monthly Sales Reports for Management
· Client Account Administration including Company Admin duties.
· Working closely with the Store Manager on Client Management.
· Ad-Hoc duties as they arise
Qualifications and Skills
Ideally the candidate will have:
· 1-2 years minimum experience in an Office Administration role
· Ability to multitask effectively, and to deadlines.
· Ability to prioritise important tasks and manage time effectively.
· Highly professional, well-presented and a welcoming manner.
· Interpersonal skills to communicate optimally with telephone callers, visitors, and staff.
· Flexible and adaptable approach to work with a positive attitude.
· Communicate and work well with others and as part of a team.
· IT and Telephone Skills – Call Management, Typing, Strong Excel, Microsoft word skills. Candidates should be fluent in English.
We provide a comfortable work environment with modern recently refurbished offices. We have a well-established friendly team that will welcome you on board. No weekend work is required currently. The position is Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with statutory breaks.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: DOE, expected hours 38.75 hours per week
