Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and manage bar staff.
  • Schedule shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Customer Service:
  • Deliver exceptional service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regular patrons.
  • Inventory and Stock Management:
  • Manage stock levels and place orders with suppliers.
  • Track sales and monitor costs to minimise waste and maximise profitability.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and orders.
  • Financial Management:
  • Oversee cash handling and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting.
  • Implement strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Promotion and Marketing:
  • Plan and execute events, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to boost foot traffic and sales.
  • Use social media and digital tools to promote the bar and events.

Skills

  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in a bar management or similar supervisory role.
