Café Assistant

Join our team at The Garden Café, located within Johnstown Garden Centre, as we seek a dedicated Café Assistant to enhance our customer experience.

Role Overview:
We are looking for a hard-working café/catering assistant who thrives in a customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate will contribute to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors to The Garden Café and Johnstown Garden Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the till with accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide excellent barista coffee service.
• Clear and clean tables promptly to maintain a tidy dining area.
• Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Assist in food preparation and service as needed.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the café and kitchen areas.

Requirements:

• Availability to work a minimum of 25-30 hours per week.
• Flexibility to work mid-week shifts and weekends, including bank holidays (working any 4/5 days out of 7).
• Preferably trained as a barista, though training can be provided for the right candidate.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality customer care.
• Minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role.
