TITLE OF VACANCY:
Customer Care Executive (Italian Speaking), 8 Month Fixed Term Contract, Mediterranean Groups -Dublin based (Hybrid)-
We are seeking a customer care executive with a proven track record in a fast-paced environment. The individual will be a customer orientated, self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, articulate with total fluency in written and spoken English and Italian.
THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will be looking after our valuable clients creating and maintaining long-term relationships. Offering best in class customer care service and ensuring our groups are looked after as per our standards. The role will align with the other hubs in the team working closely with our colleagues in business development and other areas of the group business. Teamwork is as essential in this role as working independently.
CORE DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Provide the full Account Handling/Customer Services function for leisure groups in Ireland and some groups in the UK as required. Key to this is to ensure that client group operations requirements for the department operate smoothly and in a timely fashion.
- Full utilisation of the Tourplan system to generate all client and supplier communications, also ensuring that the confirmed proposal is accurately reflected in Tourplan thereby facilitating a smooth and accurate accounting process.
- Develop and maintain sustainable relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Developing relationship with guides securing guide services to each leisure group.
- Margin optimization through upselling.
- Quoting of ad hoc group and series business as required.
- Meeting/visiting clients as appropriate and as required.
- Responsibility for operating the Department’s 24 hour emergency phone on a rotational basis.
- Supervision of any staff/trainees assigned to the area.
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time by your Manager or Director (and this could be in another Department within Abbey Group).
- Assisting the Abbey Group with its environmental and responsible tourism initiatives
Depending on role - Some international travel may be required and will be in compliance with the company’s Business Travel Policy.
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
- Fluency in English & Italian required (Oral & written)
- Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail
- Excellent customer care and communication skills
- Team player able to work in a busy environment
Desirable:
- Good knowledge of the Irish and UK tourism industry products
- Working experience with groups or at a DMC distinct advantage
- Tourplan system knowledge
