Writech are an internationally recognised leader in Fire Protection Systems. We are internationally approved to Design, Manufacture, Install, Service & Commission to all standards & have experience in Fire Sprinkler Protection, Foam enhanced Fire Protection, Gas Protection, Firewater Mist Protection, Gas Suppression and Special Hazard Fire Protection.
THE ROLE
The Estimator will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of Tender Submissions and also monitoring of project pricing in the preparation of high-value tenders, ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of project bids. The Estimator will report directly to the Commercial Manager and work closely with the Projects department. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on large-scale projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of competitive and accurate tenders for large-scale fire protection projects.
- Review and interpret tender documents, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with client requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers etc to gather accurate pricing and ensure project specifications are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Projects and Fabrication to ensure tenders align with project scopes and company capabilities.
- Assist in developing and refining estimation processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of tenders, estimates, and correspondence for future reference and auditing.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Experience in an Estimator role within Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), or Construction sectors.
- knowledge of Fire Protection systems. (preferable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple tenders simultaneously.
- A meticulous approach to reviewing documents and compiling cost estimates.
- Ability to identify risks and propose solutions within the tendering process.
