Accounts Administrator (Part-Time, Remote)

Our Dublin-based clientis seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Administrator to join their team on a part-time basis for 24 hours per week

This is a flexible, remote role suited to someone who is working independently,

managing their own workload, and taking ownership of day-to-day accounts administration processes with minimal supervision.

We're looking for a person who doesn't simply follow processes but is confident enough to question them when improvements can be made. As the business continues to grow, you'll play an important role in helping ensure that systems, processes and controls evolve alongside that growth.

The successful candidate can be based anywhere in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Administration

 Process supplier invoices and manage Accounts Payable activities

 Review supplier pricing to ensure agreed pricing structures are maintained and

investigate pricing discrepancies or unexpected increases.

 Identify and pursue supplier credit notes relating to overcharges, pricing errors and

supplier account discrepancies.

 Reconcile supplier statements and resolve account queries

Take ownership of debtor management: issuing monthly

customer statements, monitoring aged debtors and following up on outstanding

payments, with support from manager where required.

 Build and maintain positive relationships with customers regarding account matters

 Liaise with the sales team regarding new customer account applications, ensuring

account opening forms are issued, returned and processed correctly.

 Create, maintain and update customer account records, ensuring all relevant

commercial, credit and contact information is accurately recorded.

 Review, clean and maintain the existing customer database to ensure data

accuracy and completeness.

 Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

 Prepare and distribute monthly debtor and creditor reports to management.

 Calculate and maintain sales commission records.

 Support the preparation of information for the company's external accountant

 Prepare and submit VAT information to the external accountant on a bi-monthly basis

 Assist with general bookkeeping and accounts administration duties

Administration Support

 Provide administrative support to the CEO as required

 Maintain and improve internal administrative processes

 Manage account-related correspondence and documentation

 Support ad hoc projects and business administration tasks

Requirements

Essential

 Previous experience in an Accounts Administrator, Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper

or similar role

 Strong working knowledge of Sage Business Cloud Accounting

 Experience managing Accounts Payable processes

 Experience supporting credit control activities

 Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

 Ability to work independently and manage priorities without close supervision

 Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Desirable

 Experience working within construction, electrical, wholesale or trade-related

industries

 Experience liaising with external accountants

 Knowledge of VAT processes and reporting requirements

Pay: €20.00-€22.00 per hour
