About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Editorial & Industry Engagement Assistant, with a focus on Hospital Pharmacy, to join our growing team. This is a dynamic, hands-on role offering experience across editorial, digital media, marketing, and event management.

You will work closely with the editorial and sales teams to support the planning, production, and promotion of our publications and flagship events.

Key Responsibilities, Marketing & Campaign Support

  • Assist with client communications, engagement, and campaign coordination
  • Support the development and execution of marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with editorial and sales teams to align business objectives

Social Media & Digital Management

  • Manage and grow company social media channels
  • Create and publish engaging content (articles, videos, infographics)
  • Develop and execute social media strategies
  • Monitor performance metrics (engagement, followers, clicks, etc.)
  • Analyse competitor and industry performance
  • Report on performance and suggest improvements
  • Stay up to date with digital trends and tools

Editorial & Content Creation

  • Source, research, and develop content for publications
  • Write and edit clinical and industry-related articles
  • Conduct interviews with healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with contributors and industry experts

Editorial & Contributor Management

  • Maintain and update CRM records for contributors
  • Manage contributor communications and deadlines
  • Secure article agreements and track follow-ups
  • Ensure accurate mailing lists and contributor databases

Events Support

  • Assist with planning and delivery of key events, including:
  • Irish Pharmacy Awards
  • OTC & Retail Pharmacy Awards
  • Hospital Professional Honours
  • Coordinate event marketing and promotions
  • In person attendance as required, from time to time
  • In person support and assistance, as required from time to time

Research & Prospecting

  • Identify and engage new contributors
  • Stay informed on industry trends and Irish healthcare news

Publishing & Proofreading

  • Proofread publications prior to release
  • Ensure high editorial standards and accuracy

Communication & Administration

  • Maintain accurate records of communications in CRM systems
  • Keep internal documents and planning sheets up to date
  • Prioritise phone communication to build strong relationships

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Interest in media, publishing, marketing, or healthcare
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Valid driver’s licence (or ability to obtain Irish permit)
