Pharmacy Retail Assistant

A busy Pharmacy in Dublin City University (Glasnevin Campus) is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, caring, honest and hardworking individual on a part-time / full-time basis who is professional and self-motivated to work in front of shop, helping serve customers and give professional advise to customers.

Roles & Responsibilities

▪ Maintain good stock levels, stock rotation and control of shop floor.

▪ To be responsible for the purchase, receipt and booking in of goods.

▪ Have knowledge of Visual Merchandising and pharmacy promotions.

▪ Till duties and cash handling.

▪ Be prepared to undertake pharmacy household duties, to ensure the store is kept to a high standard.

▪ To professionally serve OTC medicines and other pharmacy products to customers with the appropriate knowledge and care.

▪ To gather, check and process web orders whilst liasing with online customers

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

▪ A professional attitude with the ability to serve the customer in a caring and confidential manner.

▪ Be able to show friendliness, kindness and compassion.

▪ Someone who is positive, committed, loyal and an excellent communicator.

▪ Have great interpersonal and team player skills.

▪ Minimum 1-2 years previously working in Retail but preferably in an Irish pharmacy setting.

▪ Knowledge of retail purchasing to include ROI using EPOS systems.

▪ IT experience to include EPOS and basic computer skills (email, word, excel, web browsing)

▪ Fluent English spoken and written English necessary

Availabity Requirements

  • Must be available Monday to Friday
  • Part-time position (From 20 hours per week)

No Sat/Sun/Public Holidays, no late nights
