Full job description

Leinster Educational Academy is looking for experienced Grinds Teachers to join our Academy opening in January 2027 in Gorey. Leinster Educational Academy is a hybrid grinds academy that will offer in person grinds and online grinds. The admin staff will organise the Teams channel, print all notes and set up all presentations so teachers can focus on the students and teaching. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new school in the south east of Ireland that is aiming to grow. There will also be the opportunity to work in the summer school in June and July 2027 and then the day school opening in September 2027.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Dedicated teachers for every subject for the Leaving Certificate.
  • Experienced teachers that are registered with the Irish teaching council is an advantage.
  • Experienced Examiners, Textbook Authors and Curriculum Advisors who have extensive experience in effectively preparing students for the State Examinations would be an advantage.
  • Reliable and committed professionals who are passionate about teaching and educating.
  • Individuals that have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

As a Leinster Educational Academy Grinds Teacher, you will be expected to:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons for Leaving Certificate and/or Junior Cycle students.
  • Prepare structured lesson plans, notes for students and teaching materials in advance.
  • Explain difficult concepts clearly and patiently.
  • Help students improve exam technique, subject understanding, timing, and confidence.
  • Use past papers, marking schemes, and exam-focused practice where appropriate.
  • Adapt your teaching to suit different student levels and learning styles.
  • Provide feedback to students and support their academic progress.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment.
  • Communicate clearly with the academic/admin team when required.

Pay: €25.00-€50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 10.0 per week
