Technology Strategy and Transformation (TS&T) Consultant

Location: Dublin

Career Level: 9 (Specialist/Consultant)

About TS&T Ireland

Technology Strategy and Transformation (TS&T) a key part of our growing Digital Core service. Here, we develop company-wide IT and digitalisation strategies that exploit ground-breaking technologies and strategically advise our Fortune 500 CIO clients on how to reinvent their IT operating models, enterprise and data architectures, take advantage of cloud, and improve the value they are getting from their IT investments. Our practice has been consistently rated as the best team in the industry by the Financial Times based on client ratings and was key for Accenture to be named a leader by Forrester.

The Opportunity for You

We are looking for a motivated technology and business consulting professional to join our growing Technology Strategy and Transformation practice. This is suited to candidates who want to build their experience helping clients shape and deliver technology-led reinvention across the Digital Core. You will work alongside experienced consultants and industry specialists while developing your own expertise across technology strategy, AI enablement, architecture, digital foundations and transformation delivery.

This is suited to candidates who bring a strong consulting foundation and experience across several areas of technology strategy, architecture, AI enablement, digital foundations, technology effectiveness, and transformation delivery.

We do not expect every candidate to be an expert in every area; we value thoughtful generalists who can connect business priorities, technology choices, delivery realities, and measurable value outcomes while continuing to be curious about learning.

In this , you will help clients define, shape and deliver technology products, platforms, operating models and transformation programmes that unlock business value, improve agility and accelerate outcomes. You will work closely with client stakeholders, business and industry specialists, engineering teams, architects, designers, analysts, partner vendors and delivery teams to create practical, high-quality outcomes.

What you will help clients do:

  • Support and drive strategic advisory projects, programmes and workstreams from shaping through to delivery, keeping stakeholders aligned, informed and focused on outcomes.

  • Help clients define how technology functions can create business value through effective operating models, product and platform structures, governance, organisation design and ways of working.

  • Contribute to developing transformation strategies, business cases and roadmaps that are pragmatic, actionable and linked to measurable value

  • Assess current-state maturity across areas such as architecture, agile delivery, modern engineering, operating models, governance, AI readiness and technology ways of working.

  • Support the assessment of AI and emerging technology opportunities on how these will impact IT operation modes, architectures and transformation deliveries

  • Guide practical adoption of AI in the software development lifecycle, helping teams reduce delivery cost, improve engineering effectiveness and accelerate time to value.

  • Provide clear updates on progress, risks, issues, actions and dependencies to support effective decision-making.

What you will do:

  • Work with business and technology leaders to define technology strategies, future-state roadmaps, and practical transformation plans.

  • Help clients build AI-ready digital foundations across data, cloud, infrastructure, platforms, enterprise architecture, and modern delivery practices.

  • Assess technology estates, operating models, delivery capabilities, resilience, cost, and value to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Support complex transformation programmes by helping teams establish governance, manage risk, track value, and maintain delivery momentum.

  • Collaborate across business, technology, data, engineering, infrastructure, managed services, and ecosystem partners to create joined-up solutions.

  • Conduct research, analysis and assessments to support technology strategy and transformation engagements.

  • Develop presentations, reports, business cases and recommendations for client stakeholders.

  • Support workshops, stakeholder interviews and working sessions.

  • Gather and analyse information to identify opportunities, risks and improvement actions.

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to translate strategy into actionable outcomes.

Experience Requirements:

  • Solid experience in consulting, technology strategy or technology transformation teams (typically 3+ years).

  • Proven track record supporting technology programmes.

  • Experience managing client relationships and stakeholders.

Core skills we expect everyone to bring:

  • AI awareness and curiosity: a practical understanding of how AI, data, and automation are changing businesses, technology functions, and delivery methods.

  • Strong communication and storytelling: the ability to explain complex ideas clearly, tailor messages for different audiences, and build confidence with stakeholders.

  • Project and change skills: experience helping teams plan, organise, govern, and deliver change in complex environments.

  • Business and technology judgement: the ability to connect technology decisions to business outcomes, value, risk, cost, and feasibility.

  • Collaboration and adaptability: comfort working across multidisciplinary teams, learning new domains quickly, and contributing beyond a narrow specialism.

  • Structured problem solving: the ability to break down ambiguity, identify options, build evidence-based recommendations, and move work forward.

Experience across several of these areas:

Candidates should bring experience in some of the areas below and demonstrate a willingness to build broader capability across multiple domains. These are the kinds of things our teams do; they are not all mandatory requirements for every candidate.

  • Technology strategy and architecture: shaping technology vision, business technology strategy, enterprise architecture, future-state roadmaps, and investment cases.

  • AI, data, and digital foundations: supporting AI adoption, data strategy, agentic or AI-enabled platforms, cloud and infrastructure strategies, enterprise SaaS, and modern digital core design.

  • Technology modernisation and resilience: assessing legacy estates, defining modernisation pathways, improving resilience, and sequencing practical architecture roadmaps.

  • Technology effectiveness and value: improving technology operating models, FinOps, cost optimisation, AI-enabled software delivery, engineering productivity, and value tracking.

  • Transformation delivery: supporting large-scale technology programmes, transformation offices, governance, planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and benefits realisation.

  • Ecosystem and platform collaboration: working with major technology platforms, cloud providers, software vendors, and cross-functional delivery teams to shape integrated solutions.

Who will thrive in this role:

  • Generalists who enjoy connecting ideas across strategy, architecture, delivery, AI, data, operating model, and business value.

  • People who are comfortable with ambiguity and can help clients move from broad ambition to practical next steps.

  • Consultants who are comfortable working collaboratively with clients and teams, communicating clearly and contributing positively to shared outcomes

  • Candidates with curiosity, learning agility, and the confidence to contribute across several areas while deepening expertise over time.

Important note on requirements

This is intentionally not a checklist of mandatory must-haves. We expect candidates to demonstrate the core consulting, communication, AI awareness, project, and change skills described above, and to bring meaningful experience across several of the capability areas. We welcome candidates who can learn quickly, collaborate broadly, and apply good judgement across a range of client challenges.
