Full job description

We are a medium sized and fast growing Chartered Accountancy firm based in two locations in Stillorgan, Co Dublin and Greystones, Co Wicklow. Our Stillorgan office is situated directly on the main bus route in Dublin with free parking in the surrounding locality, and the Greystones office is on the main street overlooking the beach.

Our team is very friendly and we have lots of interesting clients and a good variety of work. Every day is different, it can be challenging but also rewarding because we gain experience in lots of different areas and are learning all the time. We invest a lot of money in technology and seek to find the most efficient way to work.

The type of individual who we are looking for is someone who is motivated and willing to learn. He or she should have good prior experience in an Irish practice and in particular should have excellent basic accounting skills.

Audit experience is also a requirement, we have some large clients including group and consolidation work, and some IFRS clients though mostly FRS102. Ideally some exposure to taxation as well (corporate or income or both) but not essential as training will be given.

Strong attention to detail is essential, and good communication skills. You will be communicating directly with the client so a professional manner is very important. The ability to multitask in a small practice is necessary due to the nature of the clients. Also good IT skills, especially in Excel.

We would love to hear from you and are confident that the successful candidate will find a rewarding workplace environment with the opportunity to learn and to grow. Please get in touch and we will contact a selection of candidates for interview, which will also involve a practical assignment.
