Addiction Case Worker - Dublin - €40k - €44k DOE

FRS Recruitment is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Addiction Case Worker to join a well-established Drugs & Addiction service based in Dublin. This service uses a holistic approach when working with individuals who are dealing with the impact of addiction problems.

In your new role you will:

  • Offer 1:1 key-working support and groups to those in addiction or recovery.

  • Assist in the development of programmes and activities designed to help local drug and alcohol mis-users address problems around their addiction.

  • Liaise with relevant statuary, community and voluntary agencies and professionals. Where appropriate, refer individuals to the appropriate agencies and develop with the service users and the full team, inter agency protocols and joint care plans.

  • Be aware and competent in the area of best practice as it applies to community drug and alcohol initiatives and community-based intervention, health promotion and outreach services

  • Attend staff meetings, other relevant project meetings and contribute to the overall development of the staff team and service.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of on-going evaluation processes which uses a quarterly outcome monitoring system and engage service users in this process

  • All other tasks as outlines by your manager.

To be a successful candidate you will have:

  • A minimum QQI Level 7 in Social Care, Addiction Studies or relevant discipline.
  • A minimum 3 years' experience working in a community- based service and case management.
  • The ability to work on your own as well as part of a team.
  • Detailed knowledge of current areas of best practice in relation to community drug and alcohol initiatives.
  • Excellent admin, recording and report writing skills with the ability to update the database.
