Full job description

Cpl Healthcare is delighted to partner with Tusla Child and Family Agency in recruiting Agency Special Care Workers for their expanding special care service, Crannog Nua, located in Portrane, North Dublin.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to join a dedicated team that supports vulnerable young people aged 11 to 17 years. Crannog Nua provides short-term, stabilising interventions within a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment, helping young people achieve positive outcomes during a pivotal stage in their lives.

This is a challenging yet incredibly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. We welcome applications from both new graduates and experienced social care professionals who are passionate about supporting children and young people.

As a Special Care Worker, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans, while promoting the rights, wellbeing, and overall development of each young person. You will support their physical, emotional, social, and educational needs, helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing and therapeutic setting.

Essential Qualifications

Successful candidates must hold:

  • A minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline

OR

  • One of the following qualifications, together with a minimum of 18 months' relevant practice experience within the previous five years:
  • Youth and Community Work qualification
  • BA (Hons) in Youth and Community Development
  • BA (Hons) in Psychology
  • Addiction Studies (Level 7)
  • BA (Hons) in Counselling and Addiction Studies
  • Disability Diploma (Primary Care)
  • Degree in Social Science (minimum Level 7)
  • Social Care qualification (Level 6)
