Full job description

CEC - Cork English College is one of Ireland's leading English Language Schools with 48 years’ experience in the E.F.L. industry. In keeping pace with our growth, CEC are hiring English Language Teachers in our city-centre adult school. As our recruitment cycle is ongoing, there will be a range of full time, part time and casual opportunities as we move towards our peak season. CEC is recognised by ACELS, a service of QQI, for English Language Teaching (ELT) and we are full members of EEI, Select Ireland, Quality English and EAQUALS. CEC is also an authorised IELTS, OET, Trinity and Cambridge ESOL examination centre.

We would especially welcome applicants with both experience and range.

All teachers must have

  • A primary degree (NFQ Level 7)
  • A recognised TEFL qualification such as Cambridge CELTA, Trinity TESOL, ACELS CELT or equivalent.
  • The role is open only to those with the right to work fulltime in the EU.

Teachers at CEC follow a well-established curriculum in delivering lessons and all course materials are provided. Teachers are supported at all times by an experienced academic management team and benefit from regular in-service training workshops.

CEC aims to ensure students achieve their learning outcomes through fun and engaging lessons where their needs are fully understood and met. We are proud of the diverse range of programmes we offer our students in our dynamic and professional language school.
