Full job description

Once Upon a Time is a dynamic and exiting company that is growing and expanding very quickly.

In this role the successful candidates would be responsible for ensuring that environment meets the children’s needs and learning development. Also, you would be implementing the curriculum through the weekly planned activities.

About the role:

Based on the Access and Inclusion Model (AIM) providing guidance, support and assistance to the child in question or to the room when, and as, needed.

Providing support to increase child’s access and inclusion into daily group activities and group play.

Planning, preparation and implementation of activities tailored to the specific child’s needs, to help engage and encourage positive peer interactions, in collaboration with Classroom Lead Teacher.

Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valued.

Establishing and building a positive relationship with all children, their families and your co-workers.

Record keeping and relevant administrative tasks.

  • You will hold a minimum QQI Level 5 Childcare/Early Years Qualification/SNA.
  • Be passionate about early childhood education.
  • Have an ability to plan, prepare and implement activities tailored to a specific child’s needs.
  • Be patient, with excellent observational and communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Have the ability to keep calm under pressure and treat everyone with respect.
  • Fluent spoken and written English essential

Working week is - Monday to Friday, 9am until 12pm/ Term Time only

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From €16.00 per hour
