Are you ready to inspire wonder?We are seeking a passionate, creative, and forward-thinking Early Years Educator to lead our energetic and beautifully designed Wobbler Room (18–24 months).With a maximum of 10 busy wobblers, this room is a hub of rapid development, active movement, and budding independence. We are proud to be an innovative service that blends the child-led, independent principles of the Montessori method with the magic, curiosity, and loose-parts play of The Curiosity Approach. If you believe in stepping back to let children step forward, and you love creating enabling environments using authentic, open-ended resources, we want you on our team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a Culture of Curiosity: Design and maintain an enabling environment filled with authentic resources, recycled materials, and loose parts that stimulate the senses of 18–24 month olds.
  • Embed Montessori Principles: Support the wobblers’ emerging independence, coordination, and functional life skills through prepared environments and respectful, self-directed freedom of choice.
  • Manage a Dynamic Room: Smoothly orchestrate the daily rhythm for a busy group of 10 wobblers, ensuring a calm, intentional atmosphere amidst the high energy of this age group.
  • Document the Magic: Use child-led observation methods to track development, aligning with the Aistear framework and Síolta quality standards.
  • Nurture with Heart: Provide high-quality care, respect, and emotional security, understanding that a wobbler’s emotional well-being is the foundation for all learning.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Minimum QQI Level 7 in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent recognised by the DCEDIY).
  • Pedagogical Alignment: A strong understanding of or a keen interest in The Curiosity Approach (moving away from plastic toys toward real-life items) and how it beautifully underpins the Montessori philosophy of independent discovery.
  • The Wobbler Factor: Energy, patience, and a genuine love for the 18–24 month age bracket. You must thrive in a busy, active environment and view "wobbler chaos" as a joyful learning opportunity!
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Irish regulatory frameworks (Tusla Early Years Regulations, Aistear, and Síolta).
