The Professional Services Director is responsible for the leadership, integration, and performance of all Professional Services functions within Nostra. This includes Professional Services, Security, Compliance, Modern Work, Project Management, and Central Scheduling. This role is accountable for the efficient, profitable, and scalable delivery of all customer projects and engagements. It ensures that services are delivered to a high standard, within scope and budget, while optimising utilisation, managing overruns, and driving continuous improvement across delivery operations.

As a senior leader, the role partners closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to align demand with delivery capacity, ensuring that pipeline conversion translates into successful execution supported by data-driven hiring and resource planning.

Nostra has offices in Dublin, Galway, Cork and Belfast.

Responsibilities:

Delivery Leadership & Operational Excellence:
  • Own end-to-end delivery across all Professional Services functions.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery standards across all service lines.
  • Drive operational efficiency and scalability across delivery teams.
  • Establish and enforce delivery governance, frameworks, and best practices.
Financial Performance & Profitability:
  • Own services P&L performance, including revenue, margin, and cost control.
  • Monitor and manage project profitability, including overrun identification and mitigation.
  • Implement controls and processes to maximise billable utilisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in margin performance across all engagements.
Resource Management & Utilisation:
  • Oversee central scheduling and resource allocation across all service lines.
  • Ensure optimal utilisation rates across teams while maintaining delivery quality.
  • Align resource planning with sales pipeline and forecasted demand.
  • Develop capacity models to support scalable growth.
Project Management & Governance:
  • Own the Project Management function, including methodologies, standards, and reporting.
  • Ensure consistent project delivery frameworks are applied across all engagements.
  • Implement strong governance around scope, change control, and risk management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely project reporting across all stakeholders.
Sales & Pre-Sales Alignment:
  • Partner with Sales and Pre-Sales to ensure sold work is deliverable and aligned to capacity.
  • Provide input into solution design, scoping, and estimation.
  • Ensure closed deals meet resourcing and profitability targets.
Data, Reporting & Insights:
  • Deliver clear and actionable reporting to SLT on delivery performance.
  • Track and analyse key metrics including utilisation, margin, project health, and forecasting.
  • Use data trends to inform hiring, structure, and investment decisions.
  • Establish KPI frameworks to measure team and departmental performance.
Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team of delivery leaders and specialists.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, quality, and continuous. Improvement.
  • Identify skill gaps and drive training and development initiatives.
  • Support hiring strategy based on growth trends and future demand.
Key Success Metrics:
  • Billable utilisation rates across service lines.
  • Project margin and overall services profitability.
  • Reduction in project overruns and improved delivery predictability.
  • On-time, on-budget project delivery rates.
  • Forecast accuracy and resource alignment to pipeline.
  • Customer satisfaction and delivery quality scores.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a senior Professional Services or Delivery leadership role.
  • Strong commercial acumen with ownership of services P&L.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary delivery teams (e.g., cloud, security, consulting, PMO).
  • Deep understanding of utilisation, scheduling, and capacity planning.
  • Strong stakeholder management across Sales, Pre-Sales, and executive leadership.
  • Experience building scalable delivery frameworks and governance models.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
