Your new company
One of Ireland's most reputable Multi-Disciplinary Consultancies with multi-million Data Centre projects in Dublin and Europe. Your new company is an industry leader in delivering high-class engineering solutions across a variety of sectors, namely, Data Centres, Industrial, Commercial, Healthcare and Education. They offer a full mechanical and electrical consultancy service as well as specialist high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) design and construction services. Your company will allow you to grow and develop in a company committed to developing talent and rewarding performance.

Your new role

  • Design and review of electrical system designs for a range of projects
  • Act as a sounding board for electrical engineers in the office, offering design direction and guidance Peer review of designs and specifications of electrical systems
  • Play an active role in developing the electrical team's design capability.
  • Be expected to lead projects and represent the client externally in project and technical meetings.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and contacts on new and emerging technologies and their application
  • Ensure that their quality system is implemented and maintained on all projects
  • Support with business development and identifying opportunities for new work, including assistance with project bid and interview phase.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, from an accredited institution (equivalent qualifications in a similar field may also be considered)
  • IT literate, with good knowledge of using Microsoft Office applications
  • Chartered Engineer status and relevant accreditations
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels across multiple disciplines, as well as familiarity with external clients
  • Very strong technical skills required (minimum 10 years electrical building services design experience; ideally 15+ years)
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to make informed decisions
  • Knowledge of electrical design principles, standards and codes, and design guides (including BCO)
  • A strong understanding of various electrical systems, their design and applications.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills, and a "think outside the box" mentality
  • Familiarity with the full range of design stages, from concept right through to detailed design and construction administration.
  • A general understanding of other engineering disciplines, including mechanical, public health and fire protection, is highly desirable
