Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for precision engineering, with strong experience in designing jigs, fixtures, and fabrication solutions. The role also requires excellent communication skills, including the flexibility to liaise with customers. Proficiency in SolidWorks or a similar 3D CAD package is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom jigs, fixtures, and fabrication solutions for the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to drive product innovation from concept through to prototype and final production.
  • Utilize SolidWorks or a similar 3D CAD software package to create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure all designs are optimized for manufacturability and assembly, working closely with CNC manufacturing teams.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success, including the ability to make calls to customers during evenings or nights as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a design engineering role, preferably within the biopharmaceutical or medical device industries.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or a similar 3D CAD software package.
  • Experience in designing jigs, fixtures, and fabrication solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
