Role Overview

Keanes Jewellers is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and digitally confident Social Media Content Creation Assistant to join our marketing team.


This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone who loves social media, enjoys creating content and has a natural eye for what looks good and what captures people’s attention.

Working closely with the Digital Marketing, Social Media Creative Manager, you will play an important role in bringing the Keanes brand to life across our social media channels and digital platforms.


You will be involved in everything from filming Instagram Reels and TikToks, creating stories and graphics, editing photos and videos, writing captions and blogs, to supporting campaign shoots and capturing the day-to-day moments that make Keanes unique.


This is a hands-on, creative role where no two days are likely to be the same.


Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Film and create engaging Instagram Reels and TikTok content.

  • Capture in-store, staff, behind-the-scenes and lifestyle content.

  • Assist with content creation during campaign shoots.

  • Edit short-form videos and photographs for social media and digital channels.

  • Create Instagram Stories and other social media content.

  • Create graphics for digital advertising campaigns.

  • Assist with the creation of newsletters and blog content.

  • Resize and adapt content for different platforms and formats.

  • Maintain and organise digital content and image folders.

  • Resize artwork and update existing templates where required.

Social Media

  • Schedule and publish social media content.

  • Prepare content for approval, including watch-related posts where brand approval is required.

  • Upload Instagram Stories and other social content.

  • Prepare engaging captions in line with the Keanes brand voice.

  • Source appropriate and trending audio for video content.

  • Monitor comments and respond to customer messages in a professional and helpful manner.

  • Keep up to date with social media trends, formats and emerging content ideas.

  • Maintain the social media content calendar.

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly social media reports.

Campaign Support

  • Assist with the planning and organisation of campaign shoots.

  • Help coordinate practical arrangements before and after shoots.

  • Organise jewellery and watches for photography and video shoots.

  • Assist with styling products and preparing props.

  • Source props and other materials where required.

  • Organise and maintain campaign assets.

  • Keep campaign calendars and content plans up to date.

Skills and Experience

As this is an entry-level role, you may be a recent graduate, someone who has studied marketing, media, communications or a creative subject or simply someone who has developed strong content creation skills through personal projects, college, work experience or your own social media channels.

We don’t expect you to be an expert.

What matters most is that you are creative, curious, organised and keen to learn. You should be comfortable picking up a phone and creating content, experimenting with ideas and keeping up with what is happening across social media.

If you have examples of content you have created whether professionally, during college, for a personal project or on your own social media channels we would love to see them.

You will ideally have:

  • A genuine interest in social media, digital content and current trends.

  • A creative eye and an interest in photography, video and visual content.

  • Confidence using social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.

  • Excellent written and spoken English, with strong attention to grammar, spelling and tone.

  • An interest in learning how to film and edit engaging short-form video content.

  • Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple pieces of content and deadlines.

  • A positive, enthusiastic and willing-to-learn attitude.

  • The confidence to work with colleagues across the business and interact professionally with customers.
