Post Summary
The Executive Officer (Digital Arts and Intermedia Practices) will support the effective delivery of all administrative, financial and operational services associated with the M.Phil. in Digital Arts and Intermedia Practices offered by the Discipline of Film in the Scholl of Creative Arts and is based in the Arts Technology Research Laboratory (ATRL) on Pearse Street. Reporting directly to the School Manager and to the Course Director on a day-to-day basis, the post-holder plays a key role in coordinating day-to-day operations for this course in areas such as finance, admissions, student support, social media and general office and both operational and office logistics.
The role ensures that all administrative processes run smoothly, information flows efficiently between the course, Discipline, School and central College offices, and staff and students receive timely, professional support. The post-holder will also assist with Discipline and School-level projects and other functions as directed by the Course Director and / or the School Manager.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract
The specific purpose of this post is to provide administrative support for the new Digital Arts and Intermedia Practices courses. The role is not being offered on a permanent basis, as the courses are newly established and it is not yet known whether they will become a permanent addition to the syllabus. The post will be subject to review, and the long-term continuation of the role will be contingent upon the outcome of this review.
Hours of Post: Part-Time (0.4 FTE)
Salary: This appointment will be made pro rata (0.4 fte) on the Executive Officer Merged Salary Scale (€34,023 - €52,232 pro rata 0.4 fte per annum ) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
