Job Title: Assistant Bar Manager

Salary: €35,000 - €38,000 per annum

The Noel Group is proud to partner with a prestigious client in the hospitality industry to recruit an Assistant Bar Manager for their well-established hotel in Waterford. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional to take the next step in their career, working with a reputable property renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The Assistant Bar Manager will support the Bar Manager in overseeing the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets within the hotel. This role requires a strong leader with excellent organisational skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to motivate and guide a team to deliver a high standard of service consistently.

Our client is a respected and thriving hotel in the Waterford region, known for its strong reputation in providing first-class service, high-quality dining experiences, and a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Bar Manager in the day-to-day running of food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.

  • Supervise and train Bar staff, ensuring high service standards are maintained.

  • Support in scheduling, rostering, and managing team performance.

  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as required.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

  • Handle guest queries and resolve any service-related issues in a professional and efficient manner.

  • Assist in driving sales and achieving departmental targets.

  • Maintain strong communication between kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a hotel or hospitality environment.

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to lead by example.

  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including bar, restaurant, and banqueting services.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

  • Must be living in Ireland with the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.

  • Visa sponsorship and relocation packages are not provided.
