Baker

Goat in the Boat – Skerries, Co. Dublin

Goat in the Boat is looking for an experienced artisan baker to join our growing team in Skerries, Co. Dublin. We're passionate about producing high-quality, handcrafted baked goods and are looking for someone who shares our commitment to quality, consistency, and great food.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside and support our Lead Baker in a busy, friendly bakery where craftsmanship and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake artisan breads, pastries, and other baked goods to a high standard.
  • Support the Lead Baker with daily production and baking schedules.
  • Assist with dough preparation, fermentation, shaping, baking, and finishing.
  • Maintain excellent product quality and consistency.
  • Follow food safety, HACCP, and hygiene procedures at all times.
  • Help monitor stock levels and assist with ingredient preparation.
  • Work collaboratively with the bakery and wider café team.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in an artisan bakery.
  • A passion for baking and producing quality products.
  • Good knowledge of bread-making techniques and dough handling.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work early morning shifts.
