Join The Grace Westport Estate, a remarkable new hotel opening in Spring 2026 on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, at the heart of the captivating Westport Estate.
Job Summary:
The Bartender is responsible for delivering a refined, consistent, and engaging beverage service experience across the bar and lounge areas of The Grace Westport Estate. Acting as a front-facing brand ambassador, this role combines technical beverage preparation with guest engagement, operational discipline, and adherence to service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver courteous, professional, and personalised service to all guests at the bar and lounge.
- Greet guests promptly, take accurate beverage orders, and ensure timely and attentive service.
- Engage with guests in a polished and professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve requests or concerns efficiently.
- Promote signature cocktails, premium spirits, and hotel offerings to support revenue objectives.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with approved recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
- Maintain consistency in quality, flavour, and visual presentation across all beverages.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of beverage menus, wine lists, and current promotions.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service in line with licensing laws and hotel policies.
- Complete bar setup and breakdown procedures before and after service.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of beverages, garnishes, glassware, and operational supplies.
- Support inventory management through accurate stock rotation, requisitioning, and wastage control.
- Report breakages, shortages, or discrepancies to the Bar Supervisor or Manager.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across bar counters, equipment, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Adhere to HACCP, hygiene, and local health and safety regulations.
- Ensure safe handling of glassware, equipment, and chemicals.
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow.
- Communicate guest preferences, special requests, and operational needs clearly and effectively.
- Attend training sessions, briefings, and team meetings as required.
- Support colleagues during peak service periods to maintain service standards.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as instructed by Management.

Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience as a Bartender, ideally within a 4- or 5-star hotel, upscale bar, or premium restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong service orientation with high attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
- Good numerical skills to support billing and inventory processes.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
