The Imperial Hotel, Cork, part of the Louis Fitzgerald Group, is seeking a senior leader for our Restaurant & Conferences Manager (Head of Department) to lead Helena’s Restaurant within a multi‑outlet hotel environment that includes a high‑volume café, busy conference and banqueting operations, and a vibrant mix of hotel guests and local clientele.

This is a senior leadership role requiring a strong hospitality professional with proven experience in hotel restaurant management, leading large teams, and driving high‑performance service culture. The ideal candidate will be a confident motivator, an effective collaborator, and a visible presence on the floor — setting standards, coaching teams, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences across all food and beverage outlets.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager or Senior Supervisor within a hotel.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large teams in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of food hygiene, health and safety, and hotel operational standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest‑engagement skills.
  • Strong financial awareness and proficiency with POS/booking systems, budgets, stock control, and labour management.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑departmental hotel teams.
