Essential Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • A qualification or background in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Construction Technology or a related technical discipline
  • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to testing and documentation
  • Strong computer skills, including accurate data recording and report writing
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative

For almost 30 years, GreenWorld Products Ltd has been the global distributor of the innovative TerraWay® permeable paving system.

Our focus has always been on research, product development and continuous innovation. From our dedicated Research & Development facility, we support partners around the world while continuing to develop industry-leading sustainable paving technologies.

We're now looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Research & Development Laboratory Technician to join our growing team.

This is a unique opportunity to combine laboratory testing, product development and practical field applications while occasionally travelling to support projects both in Ireland and internationally.

The Role

You'll play an important role in researching, testing and developing the specialist materials and polymeric binders used within the TerraWay® paving system.

The role centres around independently carrying out laboratory testing to the highest standards while accurately recording results and contributing to ongoing product development.

You'll also have the opportunity to provide technical support and occasional training for installation teams on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out laboratory testing of construction materials and polymeric binders
  • Prepare, measure and test material samples accurately
  • Record, analyse and report test results
  • Support research and development projects for new and existing products
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, organised working environment
  • Assist with technical investigations and product improvements
  • Provide occasional technical support and training to installation teams
  • Travel occasionally to construction sites within Ireland and internationally when required
