CHEMICAL TREATMENT TECHNICIAN / ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF ROLE

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who relishes variety and challenge and are looking to develop their career with a growing Irish company.

Travelling to various Customer locations mainly in the Cork and Munster region, Your main role is the chemical treatment of equipment and systems for our wide Customer base. LOCATION

Cork Area & Customer Sites mainly throughout Munster.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Flushing, Degreasing and Passivation of equipment on customer sites and in our workshop.

- Disinfection / sanitising of water systems (commercial & industrial) in line with Legionella Management, Process and Potable Water guidelines

- Design of flushing circuits and Route Selection.

- Assisting in site surveys to determine customer requirements.

- Maintenance & troubleshooting issues with our mobile equipment & Rigs.

- Partake in Legionella Management surveys.

- Timely completion of required documentation during and after specific tasks. Working indoors and outdoors and performing physically demanding work, as required.

- Helping to drive quick resolution of customer while finding the best solution for them.

- Share and live the Companies values around EHS, communication, team membership and all other company initiatives.

- Completing EHS documentation including RAMS, Permits and similar documents.

- EHS compliant to all internal and customer systems.

- Continually demonstrate the company required behaviours around safety, communication and team membership and all other company initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.

- Full training and all necessary supervision/ mentoring will be provided.

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

- Trade or third level qualification in a mechanical, electrical or similar discipline, desirable.

- Previous experience working in a Mechanical / Electrical / Process Engineering role is highly desirable.

- Legionella Management experience is highly desirable but not an absolute requirement.

- Previous experience working in a chemical environment, a distinct advantage.

- Physically capable of working in a manual role.

- Previous experience Working at Height and Confined Space, an advantage.

- Proven experience working in a customer/client facing role.

- IT Skills, working knowledge of MS Word and Excel & AutoCAD is a distinct advantage.

- Full clean driving licence essential.

- Valid visa / citizenship to work in Ireland.

- Excellent command of English language (both orally and written).

THE INDIVIDUAL

- Highly organised and able to work on own initiative and schedule activities to meet timelines.

- Willing to upskill and learn if all the requirements and experience are not immediately apparent.

- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

- Positive, innovative attitude and the ability to take on new assignments and projects with an open mind / team player.

- Self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to prioritise.

- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
