Full job description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales & Business Development Executive to join an award-winning Engineering firm based in Wexford. You will be based primarily in the office with international travel requirements following an initial probationary period. You will join an existing sales team with a main focus on driving growth and identifying new opportunities within new industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of customers, managing all client relationships with a view to increasing sales potential with each customer.
- Drive growth by working closely with Architects, Consulting Engineers and Building Contractors on project-based sales across industries including Life Sciences, Food Processing, and Public Realm.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in target international markets, which will involve calling from a database of 40,000 target clients.
- Identifying ‘Green Shoots’ and visible progress within new industries and prospects.
- Plan and execute an 18/24/36 month sales target cycle and take ownership of the prospect client list.
- Generate and qualify sales leads through proactive market engagement, formalising a plan for targeting prospects and creating a sales pipeline.
- Organising planned in-person presentation dates to multiple prospects, delivering successful sales campaigns.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering, production, purchasing, and logistics teams.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in international business development and B2B sales.
- Proven lead generation and cold calling experience.
- Ability to prepare and deliver in-person presentations, with proven experience in relationship building.
- Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently.
- Technical knowledge or background is preferred, with the ability to understand technical requirements.
- Knowledge of Life Sciences/ Pharmaceuticals /Medical Devices/ Food, Dairy and Beverage Processing/ Public Sector/ Data Centres is desirable.
- Full, clean driving license.
