We are looking for an Oracle Developer for an 6 Month Day Rate Contract on a hybrid basis in Dublin.

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for the design, development, administration, and optimization of Oracle database environments, ensuring high performance, reliability, security, and scalability. The role provides technical leadership in Oracle database development, PL/SQL programming, database performance tuning, and deployment management while supporting multiple business-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database schemas, stored procedures, packages, triggers, views, and other database objects.
  • Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Develop and optimize complex PL/SQL solutions, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Manage database deployments, version control, release scripts, and routine DBA activities across multiple environments.
  • Conduct code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and ensure quality assurance of database deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to development teams and stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting Oracle 19c database environments.
  • Advanced expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, including packages, triggers, dynamic SQL, bulk processing, ref cursors, and performance optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of database design, data modelling, SQL tuning, and Oracle query optimization techniques.
  • Proven experience managing database security, schemas, roles, privileges, tablespaces, and deployment processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX, Oracle ORDS, Linux, and Jira.
  • Experience working with JSON, XML, BLOBs, and Excel file manipulation using PL/SQL.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, and Oracle APEX theme/UI customization.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in DUBLIN 2, County Dublin
