Avista is a person-centered, rights-based organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities and complex support needs. We provide a wide range of support to children and adults including Day, Residential and Respite services in various locations across Dublin, Meath, Limerick, Tipperary and Offaly.

APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:

Behaviour & Therapeutic Support Services Manager

Avista are delighted to introduce a new model of service as part of a quality improvement initiative for those who access our Adult Services. Avista are establishing a team which will provide specialist clinical supports in line with individual needs and best practice.

The provision will include in-reach, expert clinical support to existing MDTs where there has been an identified need in line with the Disability Regional Enhanced Services and Supports for Complex Behaviour (DRESS) model (NCPPD, 2023).

We are seeking a manager to develop this new service initiative and manage this new Behaviour & Therapeutic Support Team. This role, based in Dublin, is a permanent full-time contract. (35 hours per week)

Salary*: 84,294 - 94,073

Public Sector Director of Nursing Band 3 or equivalent.

  • Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

Essential:

  • Nurse/Health Social Care Professional CORU/NMBI Registered.
  • Specialist education and training specific to Autism and /or mental health.
  • Recognised Management Course.
  • 3 years' experience working at management level.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in High Support service with focus on Autism/complex behaviour needs.
  • Full clean Irish Driving licence and use of a car.
  • Proficiency in the English language.

Applicants must demonstrate Level 3 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework, which may be found underneath the Job Description.
