Full job description
Due to an increase in Notified Body certification work related to EU Directives for PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), we now seeking to recruit a Certification Assessor to join our team, based in our Dublin Office.
The role of Certification Assessor involves extensive customer liaison and the project management of the certification activity. This will involve understanding performance standards, assessing technical documentation and the preparation of certificates for various types of personal protective equipment.
A major part of the role will be to work closely with our clients and customers in communicating the sometimes-stringent requirements of the examination and certification process and provide quotations for the work undertaken. There will also be a requirement to occasionally attend external technical meetings
About the role:
Reporting to the Team Leader and working closely with colleagues throughout the department and our corporate Quality team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out certification assessments of PPE products in accordance with the relevant UKCA / PPE Regulation
- Understanding and interpreting PPE performance standards
- Assessing technical documentation and preparing draft certificates
- Working closely with clients and customers to communicate standard requirements, details of certification process and work progress updates
- Preparation of quotations for work undertaken
- Possibly attending external technical meetings and participation in standardisation committees

- Understanding of European legislation relating to CE marking, gained from a manufacturing, test and certification or supply chain environment
- Experience of travel
