Full job description

Assistant Operations Manager wanted for small family operated Take-Out Coffee Shop / Cafe recently opened in Dublin 8.

Simple stylish, high quality and evolving menu, featuring toasties, pastries, sandwiches, pastries, acai bowls etc. All produce is prepared fresh each day.

Beside one of Ireland largest tourist attractions- The Guinness Storehouse, daytime trade expected mainly.

Minimum 4 years experience in cafe/restaurant/hospitality environment with full HACCP, etc. required.

Must be able to work on own initiative.

Excellent rates and terms for the right candidate. Higher rate for those with previous Management experience- PLEASE CLEARLY HIGHLIGHT ON APPLICATION.

You will be expected to open the premises at 6:30am minimum 4 days per week- previous Keyholder experience an advantage but not necessary. Please ensure you can reliably arrive on time at this location before applying.

General Duties Include

Opening and closing of the premises.

Make sure that all meals prepared are of a high quality and presentation.

Ensure a high standard of quality, quantity and specification is maintained in respect of goods received and meals prepared.

Responsible for ordering, checking and storing of supplies for the shop and kitchen, liaising with existing staff from gastropub next door- ensuring paperwork is kept up to date.

Labelling, chilling and storage of foodstuffs

Ensure that supplies in the storing room are rotated on a regular basis

Ensure that stocktaking is undertaken on a regular basis

Meet expected sales targets, upload daily photos on social media account.

Deal with customer complaints in an amicable manner and make other Managers aware of same.

Maintenance and general upkeep of the shop and the kitchen area.

Ensure that a high standard of cleanliness in line with statutory regulations is maintained in the area of food storage, preparation and service of meals and equipment.

Ensure that all equipment is checked on a regular basis and if defective reported immediately for repair

Liaise directly with other Managers and Company Directors and other relevant personnel in respect of day to day operations, future planning and costing of menus.

Working Hours:

4 days per week, 6:30am to 4pm (additional hours may become available if covering holidays etc)

This is a full time, long term position. Journeymen need not apply.

30+ years in business, family friendly atmosphere, no drama.

Please ensure you have relevant operations / management experience before you apply, those who do not meet minimum requests will not be responded too.
