Cafe Assistant Manager jobs

We are looking for an experienced Café Supervisor to join Happy Out in Donnybrook and work closely with our Café Manager in running a busy, high-quality café.

This is a hands-on senior role for someone with strong hospitality experience, excellent specialty coffee knowledge and the confidence to lead a team and take responsibility for the café when the Manager is not present.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the team and help manage busy day-to-day café service.
• Deliver and maintain excellent table service and customer experience.
• Maintain high specialty coffee standards and support the development of our barista team.
• Manage ordering, stock levels, inventory and regular stocktakes.
• Manage reservations and table flow using OpenTable.
• Support staff training and maintain strong operational standards.
• Take responsibility for the café when the Manager is not present.

What We're Looking For

• Senior experience as a Café Supervisor, Assistant Manager or similar hospitality role.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in specialty coffee.
• Excellent table service and customer-facing experience.
• Experience with ordering and inventory management.
• Experience using OpenTable or similar booking systems.
• Highly organised, reliable and comfortable leading a team.
• A positive, proactive approach and genuine interest in great coffee, food and hospitality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
