September Blackrock is hiring an Assistant manager!
The Restaurant Supervisor supports the General Manager in
overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service, and maintaining high
standards in guest experience, staff performance, and operational compliance. This role
requires flexibility to operate effectively in both daytime café service and evening wine bar
service, the role will be mainly evenings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Restaurant Manager and General Manager in daily operations,
ensuring smooth service across café and wine bar shifts.
- Lead by example on the floor, setting the tone for warm, attentive, and efficient
service.
- Supervise, motivate, and support team members, ensuring standards are met in
presentation, product knowledge, and service.
- Assist in training and onboarding of new staff.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with health &
safety and HACCP regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in maintaining par-levels of consumables, milk and
wine.
- Manage bookings, walk-ins, and floor planning to optimise guest flow and table
turnover via ResDiary.
- Help to keep Square POS system up-to-date with latest items and pricings.
- Handle guest queries or complaints professionally, escalating to management
when necessary.
- Be responsible for the restaurant in the absence of management.
