About Thai Snack

Established in Frankfurt in 2003, Thai Snack is bringing its Thai food concept to Dublin. We want to combine fast and efficient service with genuine hospitality, creating a restaurant where customers feel recognised, welcomed and comfortable returning regularly.

We are looking for friendly, energetic and dependable Service Staff to become the face of Thai Snack Dublin.

The Role

As a member of the Service Team, you will support customers throughout their experience with us—from taking and processing orders to fulfilling, checking and serving completed orders.

The role is particularly important because we want our service team to do more than simply hand over food. You should enjoy speaking with people, building rapport with regular customers and creating the friendly neighbourhood atmosphere we want Thai Snack to become known for.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take customer orders accurately through the EPOS/till system.
• Assist customers using self-ordering and digital ordering systems where required.
• Explain menu items and answer customer questions confidently.
• Understand ingredients, allergens and available menu options and follow the correct procedure for allergen enquiries.
• Process cash and card payments accurately.
• Receive completed orders from the kitchen fulfilment/packing station.
• Check order numbers and relevant order information before serving or handing over food.
• Serve dine-in orders efficiently and professionally.
• Fulfil takeaway and collection orders and hand them to the correct customer or courier.
• Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming customer area.
• Monitor tables and proactively assist customers when needed.
• Build genuine rapport with regular customers and help create a strong local customer community.
• Handle customer concerns calmly and professionally and escalate issues appropriately.
• Communicate closely with the kitchen and Coordinator during busy service periods.
• Follow food hygiene, HACCP, cleaning and health & safety procedures relevant to the service area.
• Support opening, closing and general restaurant duties as required.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking primarily for personality, reliability and customer-service attitude. Previous restaurant, café, QSR, retail or hospitality experience is advantageous, but strong candidates can be trained.

You should be confident communicating with customers, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to remain organised when several orders need to be fulfilled simultaneously.

Strong spoken English is important because the position involves regular customer interaction and explaining menu items. Additional languages are an advantage in Dublin's multicultural city-centre environment.

Most importantly, we want people who naturally understand hospitality: remembering customers, recognising regulars, communicating warmly and making people want to return.
