Full job description

Eala Kitchen is a vibrant food truck at Swans Bar Skryne focused on serving delicious, high-quality food with great service. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused Front of House Team Member to join our team.

This is a hands-on role that is central to the smooth running of our service. You will be the main point of contact for our customers, managing orders and payments while working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure every service runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
  • Take, process and accurately manage customer orders.
  • Handle card payments efficiently and accurately.
  • Communicate orders clearly to the Head Chef and kitchen team.
  • Liaise closely with the Head Chef throughout service to ensure orders are prepared and delivered correctly.
  • Monitor the flow of orders and help coordinate the timing of service.
  • Answer customer questions about the menu, ingredients and allergens.
  • Provide excellent customer service and deal professionally with any customer queries or issues.
  • Ensure the front-of-house area, service counter and surrounding areas are clean, tidy and well presented.
  • Assist with setting up and closing down the food truck.
  • Restock front-of-house supplies as required.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
  • Work as part of the wider Eala Kitchen team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable customer experience.
  • Assist with other duties as required to support the day-to-day running of the food truck.
  • Thursday to Sunday including Bank Holiday Mondays

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced: A minimum of 12 months’ experience in a similar hospitality or front-of-house role is essential.
  • Good level of English- spoken and written.
  • Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with customers.
  • Highly organised and able to remain calm and focused during busy service periods.
  • An excellent communicator who can work effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Well presented and passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Knowledgeable about food and allergens, with a strong commitment to food safety and hygiene.
  • A positive team player who is willing to get stuck in and help wherever needed.
