ALMA. is looking for a Manager Full time.

This position is for managing both Alma and Around The Corner (our sister restaurant 30 meters away from Alma)

English is essential as well as at least 2 years of experience in this role.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous restaurant manager/supervisor experience essential
  • Have experience within high-volume of customers
  • Be a hands-on, natural leader who enjoys leading
  • Be able to make sure the whole team follows the shop standards and customers need (kitchen and Foh)
  • Able to give customers an experience not just a meal
  • Passion for quality food & drink
  • Monitors HACCP standards and cleaning standards
  • Strong communicator with a high level of initiative
  • Must be available to work mornings, afternoons and/or weekends
  • Level-headed/sensible and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliable
  • Ability to work flexibly under pressure with a good sense of humour
  • Approachable with excellent people skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of business management
  • Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities and maximise resources
  • Able to work with emails, Microsoft Word/Excel

The Role:

  • Setting up the restaurant to start the day
  • Taking care of customers in a friendly and accommodating manner
  • Food running and clearing/cleaning tables
  • Taking phone/online orders
  • Work well with other team members effectively to ensure each shift runs smoothly
  • Listen to feedback from Manager/ Owner on performance and make necessary improvements
  • Problem solving
  • Organize meetings/1 to 1 with staff
  • Be a leader
