Full time Managerial Position

---

1. Managing Staff

  • Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house and bakery teams
  • Deliver hands-on training: espresso machines, milk steaming, POS (Square), service standards
  • Conduct daily briefings on products, upselling, and hygiene
  • Provide performance feedback, resolve conflicts, mentor staff into leaders
  • Monitor attendance, handle disciplinary issues, ensure workplace compliance

2. Managing Suppliers

  • Source and order flour, butter, coffee beans, milk, packaging, and disposables
  • Negotiate pricing and payment terms to control costs
  • Build reliable relationships for consistent delivery and quality
  • Manage inventory with FIFO rotation to minimise waste
  • Evaluate supplier performance and switch if needed

3. Managing Customers

  • Deliver friendly, efficient service during peak hours
  • Handle complaints professionally and turn negatives into positives
  • Build relationships with regulars, remember preferences
  • Gather feedback for menu improvements
  • Maintain clean, welcoming environment and 5/5 food hygiene standards

4. Doing Rotas

  • Create weekly staff rosters covering opening, closing, and peak times
  • Balance labour costs with operational needs

5. Dealing with Cash

  • Perform opening cash floats and end-of-day cash-ups

  • Prepare bank deposits (AIB/Revolut) and maintain cash records
  • Manage petty cash for small expenses
  • Handle VAT calculations and filings for foodservice
