About the Role

We’re looking for energetic, reliable, and enthusiastic Street Food Assistant to join the team at Howth Market.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that involves preparing and serving food to a high standard, keeping your station clean and organised, and helping create a fast, friendly service experience for every customer.

Whether you’re assembling hot dogs, scooping gelato, or keeping the queue moving, you’ll be part of a high-energy team working in one of Dublin’s most popular weekend markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and serving food (hot dogs, gelato, snack items)
  • Handling orders, payments, and providing friendly customer service
  • Keeping your station clean, organised, and fully stocked
  • Following HACCP food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assisting with daily cleaning, restocking, and basic setup or close-down duties

What We’re Looking For

  • Positive attitude and willingness to work hard
  • Experience in a food stall, café, deli, or kitchen is a plus (but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
  • Reliable and punctual – especially for weekends and busy market days
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Valid permit to work in Ireland
