Butlers Chocolate Visitor Centre – Clonshaugh, Dublin 17

Butlers Chocolates are seeking a manager to operate the Butlers Chocolate Visitor Centre located at the home of Butlers Chocolate in Dublin 17. Butlers Chocolates is Ireland’s leading independent premium chocolate producer, celebrating over 90 years in business. The company is 100% Irish family-owned and everything it achieves is the result of teamwork and the pursuit of a common goal: to create the most delicious chocolates and to look after all of our customers to the best of our ability.

Reporting to the Director of Retail, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across Retail, HR and Marketing, as well as collaborating directly with the Manager of the onsite Butlers Chocolate Café. You will have full responsibility for the Visitor Centre—delivering an immersive and memorable experience that brings the story of this iconic Irish brand to life.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

· Oversee day-to-day operations of the Visitor Centre, ensuring a high-quality, best-in-class visitor experience

· Plan and deliver seasonal events and experiences (e.g. Easter, Christmas, birthday parties)

· Recruit, train, manage, and lead Visitor Centre staff, including full employee lifecycle management

· Manage tour bookings via online systems, ensuring efficient scheduling and capacity planning

· Build and maintain relationships with key clients, including schools and group bookings

· Monitor and report on KPIs (visitor numbers, revenue, performance), using data to drive improvements

· Support marketing and promotional activities across digital, PR, and seasonal campaigns

· Conduct regular quality checks and maintain a strong on-floor presence to ensure consistency

· Create rotas, approve timesheets, and manage attendance, leave, and performance

· Manage administrative duties and ensure smooth day-to-day operations

· Liaise and support the customer care function, to ensure a seamless visitor experience

Skills & Experience

· 2–5 years’ management experience (hospitality, retail, tourism, or similar)

· Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams

· Strong decision-making ability and problem solving skills

· Experience overseeing tours and ensuring smooth operations

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, reporting, and data analysis

· Experience managing bookings, schedules, and logistics

· Flexible, hands-on approach

· Positive, proactive mindset

· Passion for chocolate and customer experience

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
