Description of Role

Eden One is delighted to be expanding our Lounge team and is seeking an experienced Head Barista / Waiter to join us in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

This role is ideal for an experienced barista who is passionate about specialty coffee and exceptional guest service. While taking ownership of coffee quality, equipment standards, and barista training, the successful candidate will also work as an integral member of the front-of-house team, providing table service and ensuring every guest enjoys a welcoming and memorable experience.

This is a hands-on operational role with no supervisory or management responsibilities. The successful candidate will lead by example, supporting and coaching colleagues on coffee preparation and best practices whenever required while actively participating in daily service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve consistently high-quality coffees and other hot beverages to company standards.
  • Ensure coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment are correctly calibrated, maintained, and operating efficiently throughout service.
  • Monitor coffee quality, extraction, milk texturing, and presentation to maintain the highest standards.
  • Train and support new and existing team members in coffee preparation, milk steaming, grinder calibration, equipment care, and beverage presentation as required.
  • Work closely with the team to promote best practices in coffee making and maintain consistency across all shifts.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Serve food and beverages in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables to maintain a welcoming dining environment.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service, anticipating guests' needs and consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, in accordance with recipes and company standards where required.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety throughout service areas.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, stock replenishment, and maintaining an organised workspace.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service at all times.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

  • Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week).
  • A minimum of 2 years' continuous experience in a luxury café, hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.
  • Proven experience as a barista with excellent coffee knowledge and a passion for delivering exceptional coffee.
  • Strong understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing, grinder calibration, and coffee equipment maintenance.
  • Experience training or coaching colleagues on coffee preparation and quality standards.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude with a willingness to support all aspects of front-of-house service.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
