Full job description

We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused team member to join our café. You’ll help provide excellent customer service, prepare high-quality coffee and other drinks, and create a welcoming experience for every customer.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, and other menu items
  • Take customer orders and process payments accurately
  • Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service
  • Serve customers and assist with tables when required
  • Operate the till and handle customer transactions
  • Keep the coffee bar, equipment, tables, and customer areas clean and organised
  • Restock supplies and ensure the café is well presented throughout the day
  • Assist with opening and closing duties
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
  • Work effectively as part of a team during busy periods
  • Help maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers

What We’re Looking For

  • A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Strong customer-service skills
  • Previous barista, waitress, café, restaurant, or hospitality experience is an advantage, but training can be provided
  • Experience using a till/POS system is helpful
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and busy environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible
  • Able to remain calm, organised, and friendly during busy periods
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Good attention to cleanliness and presentation
