Full job description

We currently are inviting application's for a part-time van delivery driver. The hours will generally be between 2 to 3 days per week but based on seasonal demands along with annual leave cover will on occasion be more. Additional hours will be available for the right candidate.

This job involves very early starts generally speaking between 2.30-5A.M. Flexibility is required to work on any of these days from Monday to Saturday. Candidate's should include the term "Rising Dough" in their application to be considered for the position.

After passing probationary period successfully, rate will increase to €16 per hour.

General Purpose

To deliver and merchandise products in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Observe and maintain product quality. Develop excellent customer relationships with an ongoing desire to build sales on your routes. Control cash, returns and stock on van.

Duties:

  • Manage customer orders and routes using SIME software
  • Load lorry and vans correctly to ensure ease of access for deliveries, accounting for all stock.
  • Know the locations and order of delivery for all shops on your route.
  • Ensure correct orders are dispatched and delivery docket transactions are recorded correctly
  • Ensure products are merchandised correctly and prominently within assigned space to maximise sales (follow photo layout where applicable)
  • Ensure correct SELs and POS are displayed for each product in each shop.
  • Responsible for cash collections and balancing cash at the end of the day
  • Liaise with shop owners/managers to achieve the best possible shelf space.
  • Monitor shop sales and amend orders accordingly to maximise sales and achieve an acceptable returns rate.
  • Understand and maintain Hygiene, Traceability and Health & Safety requirements
  • Conduct daily maintenance/observation checks on van. Report any issues to the Distribution Supervisor
  • Ensure van is kept clean record in van cleaning schedule.
  • Drive safely and responsibly while always complying with the rules of the road.

Requirements:

  • Full clean B licence
  • Computer literate
  • Fluent in English

Previous experience in a similar role is preferential but not essential. Training will be provided. Again the term "Rising Dough" should be used when making the application.
