Position: Onboard Catering Assistant

Location: Dublin – Galway Rail Service (and return services as required)

Company: Hospitality360°

About the Role

Hospitality360° is seeking enthusiastic, reliable and customer-focused Onboard Catering Assistants to deliver an exceptional food and beverage service to passengers travelling between Dublin and Galway.

Working onboard a moving train, you will operate a fully stocked catering trolley throughout the journey, serving fresh food, hot and cold beverages, snacks and confectionery while providing a welcoming, professional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a mobile catering trolley safely throughout the train.

Serve food, beverages and snacks to passengers.

Deliver excellent customer service with a friendly and professional approach.

Process card payments accurately.

Restock and replenish the trolley during the journey.

Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.

Complete stock reconciliation at the end of each shift.

Ensure all Health & Safety and food hygiene procedures are followed.

Represent Hospitality360° professionally at all times.

Essential Requirements

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Friendly, confident and professional manner.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Comfortable walking long distances through moving train carriages while pushing a catering trolley.

Physically fit and able to lift and move catering stock safely.

Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment.

Desirable

Previous experience in hospitality, catering, retail or customer service.

Food Safety/HACCP training.

Barista experience.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Working Environment

Based onboard intercity rail services between Dublin and Galway.

Working in a live passenger environment on a moving train.

Standing and walking for extended periods throughout each journey.

Operating within strict food safety and customer service standards.
