Kitchen Porter

A well-established restaurant in Athlone town centre is looking for a reliable and experienced Kitchen Porter to join a professional, friendly and supportive team.

We work to high standards in an organised environment, with a strong focus on teamwork, respect and maintaining a calm, positive workplace.

Pay
Competitive hourly rate above the national minimum wage.

Extra Pay
Tips are paid separately and vary depending on the restaurant’s business levels and individual contribution.

Schedule

  • Thursday to Saturday: from 3:00 PM
  • Sunday: from 11:00 AM
  • Must be available weekends

The Role

The Kitchen Porter is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the restaurant, including the kitchen, dining area and customer/staff facilities.

The role also involves supporting the chefs during service, keeping the kitchen clean and organised, washing dishes and cookware, handling waste and helping the team maintain cleaning standards throughout the shift.

This is a physically active role, so we are looking for someone energetic, reliable and comfortable working as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Previous Kitchen Porter experience preferred
  • Good standard of cleanliness and organisation
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to work independently and as part of a professional team
  • Language: English, Portuguese or Spanish
  • Legal authorisation to work in Ireland
