Full job description

The Bunratty Manor Hotel is seeking to fill the position of Housekeeping Supervisor to assist in the efficient running of the department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest care.

We are a well established boutique hotel with 20 bedrooms, busy restaurant and residents bar.

About The Role

The role will support the management team by training staff in Standard Operating Procedures and assisting with the smooth running of the daily accommodation and housekeeping operations. Your daily duties will include inspecting vacant and serviced bedrooms to ensure they meet desired standards, as well as inspecting public area cleaning and ensuring checklists are followed.

Main duties are as follows:

· Clean and tidy guests room and public spaces to the appropriate hotel standards.

· Change Bed linens remove and replenish guests towels and amenities.

· Vacuum, clean, dust and polish surfaces in the hotel rooms and public areas.

· Provide housekeeping services and facilities to guests as required in a courteous and professional manner.

· Report any accident, damage or maintenance issues to the relevant department for prompt action.

· Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene as well as grooming

· Adhere to Health and Safety regulations to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for guests and colleagues

· Ensure room safety and guest confidentiality

· Perform rotary cleaning and deep cleaning tasks as required by Hotel Management

· Work effectively with the other team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction

· Uphold the hotel’s reputation for excellence by consistently delivering exceptional service.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent customer service & communication skills
  • Be a good team leader
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational & interpersonal skills with a flexible approach to work
  • Fluency in both written and oral English

Required Criteria

  • Ability to liaise with Front Office regarding special guest requirements.
  • Competence in logging maintenance issues and reporting them to the relevant individuals.
  • Experience maintaining adequate stock levels of linen, laundry, guest supplies and amenities.
  • Attention to detail in monitoring staff presentation and grooming.
  • Must have previous experience in this role e.g. 2 years
  • Must have excellent communication skills
