Full job description

Experienced Chef/Cook required for a busy school canteen

Family friendly hours Monday to Friday with a Half day on Fridays. Contract will be based on the academic year.

Experience in supplier ordering, budgeting, portion control, HACCP, customer service, good communication skills

Applicants should have the following abilities:

  • Highly organised
  • Self motivated
  • Work well on their own or in a team
  • Deli, canteen and barista experience an advantage
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene or Food Safety Management an advantage but not essential as course can be completed online after you start
  • Garda Vetting required for this role and will be applied for through the school
  • Must be friendly with a positive attitude
  • This role requires standing throughout your shift and lifting of oven trays and food boxes. Applicant must be physically fit, without neck, back or shoulder problems.
