Multi-Task Attendant – Abbey House (Maternity Leave Cover)

Location: Rathfarnham, Dublin 14

Salary: €13.00 – €17.00 per hour

Contract: Fixed-Term (Maternity Leave Cover)

Hours: Full-Time (84 hours per fortnight)

Start Date: ASAP

The Opportunity

Abbey House is a small, dedicated residential religious facility providing a home for the Loreto Sisters. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality care within a compassionate and professional environment.

We are currently seeking a Multi-Task Attendant to join our multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will be more than just a carer; you will be an essential part of a close-knit community, ensuring the sisters' physical, social, and spiritual needs are met with dignity and respect.

The Role

This is a varied, "multi-task" role that involves providing holistic, person-centred care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Holistic Care: Assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and continence care, as well as supporting social and spiritual activities.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Observing the well-being of the sisters and reporting any health concerns or changes to the Director of Care.
  • Catering Support: Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals.
  • Environment: Adhering to in-house Infection Control policies to ensure all areas are kept clean, neat, and tidy.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Must hold a FETAC / QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in Care of the Elderly is essential.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work some weekends; we guarantee a fair and consistent roster.
