Full job description

Opportunity for a skilled and creative Chef to work within a family friendly run Gastro Lounge / Cafe in the heart of Allenwood village in Kildare.

The ideal candidate will be flexible with a can-do attitude, and driving the business forward. Ability to work within a positive team orientated atmosphere.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in all sections of the kitchen and to ensure smooth running of same
  • To provide and maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation and hygiene.
  • Adhering to the rules of Health and Safety
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
  • To ensure all areas are clean and tidy at all times
  • Monitor stock control
  • Detailed knowledge of HACCP
  • To assist in other areas when required.
  • Must be flexible with working weekends, Flexible shifts available from 8am to 10pm Wednesday to Sunday
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
