Responsibilities:
- Execute food preparation tasks according to the menu and recipes provided.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation are consistently maintained.
- Oversee a specific section of the kitchen, such as grill, sauté, or pastry, depending on expertise.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
- Monitor and maintain food quality during all stages of preparation and service.
- Conduct regular checks on ingredients, ensuring freshness and adherence to quality standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to meet service requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
- Assist in the training of new kitchen staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef in a similar role.
- Culinary qualification or equivalent certification.
- Strong knowledge of Irish and international cuisine.
- Ability to handle a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
