Responsibilities:

  • Execute food preparation tasks according to the menu and recipes provided.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation are consistently maintained.
  • Oversee a specific section of the kitchen, such as grill, sauté, or pastry, depending on expertise.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Monitor and maintain food quality during all stages of preparation and service.
  • Conduct regular checks on ingredients, ensuring freshness and adherence to quality standards.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to meet service requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
  • Assist in the training of new kitchen staff.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a similar role.
  • Culinary qualification or equivalent certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish and international cuisine.
  • Ability to handle a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
